Calvary Baptist Church was established in the year 1982 as a mission of Independence Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. The founding pastor was Brother John Aldrich. The Calvary Baptist Church met for a short time in the Broadway Motor Inn dining hall. The church was then able to rent a church building off of Broadway Ave in Edmond. Through much prayer and the leadership of Pastor John Aldrich, the church purchased five acres of land on Western Ave just a few miles North of Edmond. Shortly after, work began on the new church building. The work was practically accomplished through the men in the church and help from other surrounding churches and other local church ministries. Under the leadership of Pastor John Aldrich, the church grew and many ministries were added. After he fulfilled 26 years of faithful service to the Lord, he knew it was time to pass the mantel. In 2008 the church called Brother Brad Lowrie to be the next pastor. He would go on to serve the Lord faithfully in that position for the next 8 years. Under the Leadership of Brother Lowrie, Calvary pressed forward building on the foundation that was laid by Brother Aldrich. During Brother Lowrie's time as the pastor the Church grew, which led to expanding the auditorium and finishing the South addition to the building. In 2015, after God had called him to the mission field of Croatia, Pastor Lowrie announced to the Church he would be moving on to new ministry. The church then called Brother David Story to serve as the next Pastor. Brother Story led the church in extensive renovations of the facility and oversaw new growth in many other areas. In 2025, history repeated itself as God called Pastor Story to the mission field in Italy. The church then called Brother Trevor Trowbridge to serve as the next Pastor in May of 2025.  Pastor Trowbridge continues to lead Calvary Baptist Church in a way that glorifies God.  We are a church that is committed to Biblical expository preaching, world missions, and discipling families/individuals who will carry the work of God forward until our Savior returns.
