Each class is divided into grades for children to learn in smaller groups. Sunday school classes are available for three year olds through sixth graders. Great lessons, games, excitement, learning, crafts and songs are just a few words that describe the children’s Sunday school classes at Calvary Baptist Church.
Children’s church takes place during ‘adult’ church. While parents enjoy the encouraging music and challenging preaching of the morning service, three through kindergarten students can take part in a creative program specifically designed for them. The teen years can be confusing, difficult, and challenging! But they can also be awesome! Through Sunday classes, weekly outreach, monthly activities, annual trips, retreats, and programs, the teens at Calvary are challenged and equipped to live for Christ while they are in their youth. Scores of children, adults, and families have been brought to church through the bus ministry. Many of these children are underprivileged, and the love of Christ that they receive through the bus ministry is the highlight of their week. This ministry is staffed by volunteer Christians who love people.
The nursery is a vital part of our ministry. It gives parents an opportunity to be able to sit under the preaching and teaching of God’s Word without distraction. This ministry also provides an infant or toddler a clean, safe and loving environment which is a peace of mind to the member or guest entrusting us with their child’s care.
